What drives Sarnia prices

Sarnia is Chemical Valley. Imperial Oil, Suncor, and Shell refineries cluster here, and that refining base makes Sarnia among the cheapest diesel in Ontario. The refineries sit right in the city, so fuel is made locally rather than brought in from elsewhere, which keeps the price low. Highway 402 runs from Sarnia to the Port Huron, Michigan crossing, tying the city to the freight moving across the border. A cluster of refineries on a border crossing corridor is what sets this market apart.
